Kai is an avid writer, activist, and entrepreneur. He is a regular contributor for his school newspaper (where he is a co-editor in chief) and for his town newspaper. He's written finance and technology articles for FinLit.com, a now-defunct financial literacy website for young adults. He received First Place in the Yale University essay contest, and has been a winner and finalist in several other competitions. His work is published in four national literary magazines and anthologies. He loves writing about topics that are both relevant and meaningful to the younger generations. Kai is also the co-founder of a drone company that specializes in aerial real estate photography and cinematography. He was honored to be chosen as a member of the Channel One Team OneVote series - a program which profiles 8 high schoolers across the country that reaches 6300 schools and over 4 million students daily. He was interviewed live in studio with anchor Craig Melvin on MSNBC and publicized in several local news outlets for his involvement.
