History on the Net

Twitter: @historyonthenet
The History on the Net website began life in November 2000. The site has grown considerably to nearly two million monthly views. Despite its growth, our aims remain the same: to provide historical information that is simple for views of all ages to navigate, is written in accessible language, and makes learning straight forward. The mission of the site is to explore neglected or forgotten corners of history that changed the world, no matter how strange or controversial. We have blogged on the U.S. Army’s failed experiment to use camels as pack animals in the 1840s southwest, failed presidential assassination attempts, and first-hand accounts of the Invasion of Normandy. - from historyonthenet.com/about-us
